This is why we take the time to correct for blemishes and distracting elements in the prints and albums you order from us. Also, to give the best possible service we limit the number of weddings we do each year...we never book more than one wedding per day. Thus on your special day your wedding is our only concern. |

I have over 20 years experience in wedding photography, to stay current I regularly review and update my services. I will personally meet with you to discuss your photography needs for your special day. You will always receive me as your photographer. My overall style is a combination of traditional and photojournalist to capture the best mix of the important moments of your day. During the formals I will do a mix of traditional and fun poses. During your ceremony I will get the best possible shots while being as unobtrusive as possible, respecting the sanctity of your ceremony. When it comes to your reception - I understand you want to relax and enjoy yourself . Therefore during the reception my style is mainly photojournalistic capturing your events as they unfold.

Please explain the Print/Album Credit. Instead of assigning a certain album to the standard package we provide an Print/Album credit so that you might chose the prints and albums that you would like. This credit is basically like a gift card which you use to purchase the albums, prints and other services you would like.
The fine print :-) Prices on the Add-on services are guaranteed from the time you book your wedding until your 6 month anniversary. After which time you may use it to purchase items at then current prices, until your 1 year anniversary at which time the credit expires. Add-on credit has no cash value, any unused credit will be forfeited.

How can I schedule an appointment? Please either email or call us to schedule an appointment. For the customer's convenience of the couple I meet you at a restaurant or coffee shop close to your home or work (within 30 miles of Racine) |

We are only available for Saturday and Sunday weddings. We also offer the following holidays Memorial Day, July 4th, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Please contact us to find out if your date is available. |

How do you compare to other photographers We understand one size does not fit all. This is why we offer a variety of packages and the print/albumcredit rather than assigning certain album with each package.
We aim at offering an exceptional service at a reasonable price. Of course you can find a cheaper photographer, unfortunately the pictures will reflect it. Check for shine, acne, and skin imperfections.
When your day has come and gone, it is the photos that will sustain your memories.

What if I
don't want certain items of the package? The packages are designed to be the best value for the money. Unwanted items can not be traded for other items nor are they eligible or credit or discount. If you would like to upgrade items in a package you may do so at an additional charge. |

Can I request special poses? Yes - feel free to request any shot or pose you would like; due to many factors beyond our control on your wedding day we can’t guarantee any individual shots. We will do our utmost to capture the memories that are most important to you. |

What if Jerry is sick and unable to photograph my wedding? First of all let me reassure you, this is an extremely rare occurrence (only once in twenty-five years). However, in case of unforeseen circumstances...my wife Jill has experience photographing weddings and would be able to step in at a moments notice. She also does the retouching, designs the website, and creating montage photos, so she is familiar with all steps of the production. She is truly the "behind the scenes magic". |

We shoot digital for several reasons. The quality and versatility of digital is greater than film. Shooting digital enables us to make corrections for complexion issues and distracting elements. Also there are many products that we can offer due to being digital that would not be practical if we were using film. These include specialized photos such as color punches, montages, online gallery and putting your wedding photos on a DVD. |

We take many more pictures than your package promises to ensure you get the best possible photos. The cutting down process is a very time consuming one which most couples just don't have time for. So instead of providing a large number of digital proofs for you to go through, we give you a large number of finished files suitable for printing. We do the editing for you selecting the best images, (i.e. cutting out blinks, poor lighting, etc) the large number of files with each package ensures that all the important moments of your day are captured. Therefore instead of having to worry is this a good or bad photo -- you only have to decide if this a photo you want enlarged or in your album.
However we do understand that there is just something about the print. For those who prefer a print of every image we do offer proof albums, and a proof share kit. Please note these are high quality prints, however they do not include retouching.

All packages include all images "negatives" on a CD, thus reprints do not have to be ordered through us. The bride and groom may make reprints or copy the CD to give to friends and family members so that they may make their own reprints. If it is more convenient you may order reprints through us; a link will be posted on the couple's website for their reprints.

Does the retouching work cost extra? Retouching is VERY time consuming. Most wedding photographers either do not offer it, or charge by the hour for it. We would like you to have priceless images at a reasonable cost. Due to the large number of prints retouching is not included with the proof albums, or proof share kit. Retouching is included with Enlargements, Traditional and Montage albums FREE of charge.
Typically included in our standard FREE retouching is the following - basic distracting elements in the background, i.e. exit signs, fire alarms, candles growing out of the bride or groom's head in a formal poses, people in the distant background of location pictures. Also included are corrections for blinks, standard complexion issues i.e. acne, shine, and softening wrinkles.

Please explain - Retouching work done at the discretion of Weddings by Jerry? At times we receive retouching requests that are overly time consuming or would produce poor results in those cases we may refuse a request or quote a price for that request. The reason we do this is so that you may still receive your photos in a reasonable time, for a reasonable price.
What determines whether or not we are able to correct an element of image depends on the complexity of the image and the number of images to be corrected. The simpler the background and the fewer number of photos to be retouched the more likely it will be "included" with the standard retouching. Please note all the examples on the "Why Choose Us" page were done free of charge.
When you receive your images if you would like something specific retouched in the prints or albums you will order from us - ask us about it. At this time, we will let you know if it would be included in the free retouching or quote you a price. If you are quoted a price you may use your Print/Album credit to pay for this.

How do I reserve my wedding date? You fill out a contract and return it with a non-refundable retainer of $500 to retain your wedding day. The balance will be due 14 days before your wedding date. Once your contract and retainer has been received your wedding date is booked.
